Year after year, we continue to be impressed with the work and the dedication of our member organizations. They take to heart the well-being of vulnerable people who come to them. More than ever, member organization are invested in finding solutions that contribute to improving quality of life while reducing food waste. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the types of services offered to the population by the member organizations, which benefit from Moisson Rive-Sud’s support.

Food Assistance

Moisson Rive-Sud provides foodstuffs to organizations that distribute food baskets as well as emergency food assistance to the socio-economically vulnerable clientele in their community.

Literacy

Moisson Rive-Sud supports organizations in preventing illiteracy. Through cooking classes and other workshops, beneficiaries can work on their reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

Summer Camps

Moisson Rive-Sud supports the meals and snacks served to children registered in summer camps. The goal of these camps is to offer a respite to parents and an enchanting stay for children from fragile families, or those living with physical, intellectual, or developmental challenges (autism and other disorders).

Volunteer Centres

Volunteer Centres offer many services, including collective kitchens, Meals-on-Wheels, food basket distribution, income tax clinics, and more. Moisson Rive-Sud allows them to provide crucial food support to the community.

Training Centres

Dedicated to educating dropouts or students with integration challenges, Training Centres promote academic success. Moisson Rive-Sud offers food support to students and their families so they can continue their education.

Shelters

Moisson Rive-Sud supplies food and personal hygiene products to shelters meeting a wide range of needs. These shelters, which offer stays of varying lengths, welcome children, young people aged 16 to 21, seniors, as well as those suffering from mental health or addiction issues, homelessness, or domestic abuse.

Multi-Service Day Centres

These are places where people go to break isolation, get support from counsellors, and participate in various activities, such as creative workshops, lectures, cooking and community meals, recreational activities, and more.

Collective Kitchens

These organizations provide an opportunity to break isolation while teaching how to plan and prepare delicious foods. Moisson Rive-Sud provides the food needed to these Collective Kitchens so they can cook at low-cost.

Adapted businesses

Moisson Rive-Sud offers quality snacks and food to people with special needs, working in these businesses, which operate under the social economy model in the Montérégie.

Self-Help Groups

These groups offer activities that promote awareness and prevention as well as help- and support-services for specific clienteles. Moisson Rive-Sud helps these groups set up culinary activities such as collective kitchens, community meals, and coffee shops by providing them with snacks and foodstuffs.

Youth Centres

Young people arriving at a youth centre are welcomed into a warm, friendly environment, where they are listened to, supported, and receive help to take action or to carry out projects that allow them to develop.

Moisson Rive-Sud helps youth centres by giving cooking workshops, community meals, or simply providing snacks to the young clientele.

Charitable Organizations

Moisson Rive-Sud allows charitable organizations to provide emergency food, emergency food baskets, and Christmas baskets to vulnerable people.

Meals on Wheels

Moisson Rive-Sud allows these organizations to prepare and deliver full-course meals to low-income people in their homes. Meals on Wheels offers several benefits: It enables the elderly and those with limited mobility to remain in their own homes, among other benefits.

Resident-Groups, Low-Cost Housing

Moisson Rive-Sud provides food donations to HLM resident groups, allowing them meet the needs of the vulnerable individuals and families living there. They provide activities that bring people together, allowing them to break isolation and make friends, while also encouraging a sense of empowerment.

Respite Care Homes

Respite Care Homes offer relief to families living with a person with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder. Moisson Rive-Sud provides support with snacks and other types of foodstuffs allowing respite care homes to cook low-cost meals, thereby saving money and making it possible to offer more support services to the families.

Support for New Arrivals

Organizations served by Moisson Rive-Sud have become instrumental to newcomer integration by offering support, referrals and other invaluable resources in the Montérégie.
